Managing Optiver's risk and treasury software. Writing new software to automatically monitor and report on new risks. Enabling the expansion of the business through rolling out new instances to interface with existing infrastructure. Managing market risk, credit risk and automated trading risk across all of Optiver's trading activities, particularly over the market volatility surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2020 US election. This included both index options and equity options as well as D1 products (such as stocks, ETFs and futures). Reviewing requests from Trading and negotiating appropriate limit frameworks for both current and new strategies. Devising new ways to monitor trading risks and performing deep dives into market events. Reporting on current exposures and advising on risks to management. Seconded to the Risk IT department from January 2021.

Undertaking Optiver's Graduate Trader Training Program (February-May 2018). Trading index derivatives on the Hong Kong exchange (May-Dec 2018). Trading index derivatives on the Korean exchange (January-November 2019). In both cases, managing and improving existing strategies to generate higher profits, reducing time required for menial tasks and researching previous market events to navigate turbulent market conditions.
