Worked at all levels of supervision including Director, Engineering Manager, Project Co-ordinator, Chief, Lead & Principal Instrument Engineer.Involvement in Greenfield, Brownfield and Decommissioning projects covering +50 North Sea Installations, including Fixed Installations, Semi-Submersibles, Flotels, FPSO’s, Subsea Completions and on onshore Oil Terminals.Worked in Construction, Operations and Maintenance Support roles including the development of detailed procedures and working systems.Involved in numerous HAZOPs, HAZIDs, SAFOPs and Safety Risk Assessments.ABB Interface Representative for Aker/Nexen with special emphasis on Functional Safety Management (first to do this in Aberdeen), in accordance with IEC61508 and IEC61511 requirements and including SIS/SIL Assessments, SIL/PFD Verification Calculations, Risk Graph assessments, attendance at LOPA’s, etc. Invited to join a team of experts chaired by the Energy Institute to develop ‘Guidelines for the design, installation and management of small bore tubing assemblies’. This Guideline was published May 2013.Involvement in various UKOOA committees.
