Ed Bell is a creative, self-motivated management professional with a career that spans over 20 years in the Medical Device and Pharmaceutical arenas. Ed started his career in the plastics industry working as a Field Service Engineer for Netstal AG, Nafels CH. In this role Ed was exposed to many different industries and organizations. Ed moved from the equipment side of the plastics world to the contract manufacturing side joining NYPRO in Clinton MA. Ed spent time in many of the NYPRO plants around the world. Ed was stationed in Singapore, Clinton MA, Gurnee IL, and finally San Diego CA. Ed reached a point in his career where he wanted to concentrate on an industry rather than many industries. He chose Medical Device. Ed joined Inhale Therapeutics, San Carlos CA. Inhale developed inhalable Insulin and the Delivery Device. Ed managed the Tooling and Metrology teams and served as a member of the Supply Chain and Sustainment programs for Inhale. Ed managed other medical device/pharmaceutical programs for Guidant, Abbott, Kimberly Clark, and Watson Pharmaceuticals. Ed’s recent roles leaned away from technical responsibilities and toward operations/manufacturing. Ed has successfully lead organizations ranging from several hundred to over 1200 employees as the Director of Operations for Watson Pharmaceuticals, Corona CA. A very hands on style coupled with a technical background makes Ed a very effective Leader.
