Contracted initially through Accenture and then through Version 1.Responsible for design, development and ongoing support of Integrated Contacts - the main system used by Revenue for tracking of customer correspondence. This included integration with scanning technology, MS Exchange, Outlook and the telephony system. Also involved with the integration with other Revenue Contact systems (SMS/IVR/WEB/MyEnquiries).Heavily involved in the upgrades of OpenROAD within the Revenue infrastructure - first to OpenROAD 2006 then to OpenROAD 5.1 and most recently to OpenROAD 6.2This involved testing existing applications, identifying issues, producing test cases for these issues and then working closely with ingres/Actian to resolve the issues. Once an acceptable patch was available I was responsible for the packaging of the patch for delivery to the clients.I was also also responsible for the initial design and development of the following OpenROAD applications within Revenue:Tax Relieve at Source (TRS) - application used to manage Mortgage Tax Relieve.Integrated Banking Information System (IBIS) - application used to manage bank transfers between Revenue and the banks.SSIA - an application used to manage the Special Savings Incentive Accounts introduced by the government in 2002.
