Perform a variety of verifications for global vaccines development clinical trials, phases I to IV, to ensure that CDM deliverables (in particular clinical trial databases and validation packages) are of high quality, that documentation is complete and accurate, and that applicable procedures are adhered to, all according to guidelines of Good Clinical Practice. Furthermore, my responsibilities include performing final extractions of clinical data, so that they become available for statistical reporting.

Site start-up metrics - This project was set up to improve the pace of start-up phases of clinical trials sponsored by Centocor, Global Clinical Operations and other subsidiaries of Johnson&Johnson. In the six months period, I built a database containing start-up phase data of several of these subsidiaries. This database had the ability to compare timelines of the start-up phase per company, country or trial. Afterwards I presented the database and its possibilities to the management team and proposed a scheduled reporting structure. The management team was impressed and believed that by means of reviewing the compared timelines from the database, the cause of delaying factors could be identified.

Disabled People's Organization: Empowerment of People with Disabilities - The objective of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of a program set up by the medical committee to empower disabled people in rural Vietnam. To measure this efficacy, I compared social and economical factors of disabled people living in rural communes with and without the program by means of a questionnaire, in-depth interviews and focus groups (n=100), which I designed myself and conducted together with the research team. Afterwards I analyzed the collected data and drew statistically grounded conclusions, which reflected the contributions of the implemented program in the rural communes.

Ecogenomics in the future - Assess the need for innovative methods (in development) to clean polluted soil. By means of semi structured interviews and focus groups I collected thoughts and opinions of farmers, soil cleaning companies and municipalities about these methods. After analyzing the data, I made recommendations for the further development of the innovative methods.
