A campus campaign at De Anza college focused on helping Sen. Bernie Sanders win the Democratic nomination and leading to the effort in organizing for his campaign during the general election of 2016. Each quarter we are responsible for coordinating and training 50-100 volunteers in phone banking, door-to-door canvassing, on-campus marketing, graphics, classroom presentations, and community building with other campaigns around Silicon Valley and the Bay Area. The De Anza Flea Market began as a small effort by the students of De Anza College to raise money for the student body over 30 years ago and has grown into an established community event attracting vendors and patrons from throughout the state. The De Anza Flea Market is still a student enterprise with the De Anza Associated Student Body paying for all of the expenses and gaining approximately $300,000 annually for a variety of programs, services and events at De Anza College. The De Anza Flea Market contains about 825 vendor stalls and usually sells out very quickly. If the weather is good the Flea Market will typically draw approximately 15,000 to 20,000 shoppers.http://www.deanza.edu/fleamarket/
