Project Manager / Quality Control Manager
Project Management, Estimating, Design, & Quality Control for the renovation of three wards at the Audie L. Murphy Memorial VA Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. Job duties included: Working with engineering departments and Sub-Contractors to facilitate complete ward renovations with minimal impact to ongoing Hospital operations or Patients. Plan, monitor, and adjust project schedules; identify, create, and submit requests for information (RFI); Receive, review, & submit material data, drawings, certificates & samples for approval, close-out documentation & as-built plans; Create & update a submittal register; Check all construction materials & work for compliance to specifications; Create & update a rework log; Schedule & monitor quality control tests; Create & update a testing log; Hold weekly Sub-Contractor meetings to review upcoming work, discuss construction schedules, discuss rework items, testing, submittals, requests for information, & known or potential conflicts between Sub-Contractor/Engineers/Hospital Personnel; Schedule and monitor work outside of normal work hours for the Hospital.
