I have worked offshore for 40 years on jack-ups, production platforms, semi-submersibles , land (28)years on jack ups rigs and drill ships. In my present posting as oim for the last 3 years I have been in Vietnam and Brunei waters drilling and completing production wells for VSP and shell before that I was working in Brazil deep water drilling . I am proud to say that I have managed my crews in such a way that all operations have been completed safely with no injuries and efficiently, on time and within budget. I believe that good morale is critical to safe and efficient operations. To achieve that, I value the knowledge of my workforce, expecting them to make a full contribution to the operation, making my rig primarily a safe working environment and thus operationally efficient. I have vast operational experience in many aspects of oil and gas drilling, from straight hole to multilateral directional wells, both on and offshore. As a OIM , my goal is to run a safe, efficient, cost-effective and profitable rig. I would achieve this by being a good team builder as well as team leader. I have excellent man-management skills, working well with all types of people from all social and ethnic backgrounds. I place a premium on mutual respect – respecting the skills and knowledge of my workforce I believe this is the basis of an efficient, cost effective and therefore safe drilling operation
