During the summer of 2019, I worked alongside several software engineers and non-technical team members to improve the Google Fi user experience. This improvement came by improving the efficiency and performance of the team's backend system and database.My initial project was to take a developed pipeline and migrate it so that it was no longer running on a deprecated framework. I also was tasked with making it run more frequently and less time to finish. The pipeline itself is responsible for aggregating users' cellular data and determining whether to notify a user once they've reached their specified data usage threshold. The pipeline also decided whether to throttle a user's data speed.

For almost two years, I served as a consultant for the IT department at the University of Notre Dame. Students, faculty, and other Notre Dame affiliates would approach me with problems related to software and hardware. I would then ask numerous questions, trying to completely understand the client's problem. I would then find the appropriate solution. From that point, I would either implement the solution for the client, or I would communicate the solution to them and have them implement it on their own.

During the fall semester of junior year, I used Python, Django, HTML, CSS, and Javascript to designed and built the foundation for a social media platform. I worked with two other interns under the supervision of a Ph.D. student to build the platform from the group up. Throughout the entire process, I communicated, in a non-technical manner, with the client to understand the project goals and requirements.

Worked along side another intern and several full-time software engineers to create an internal dev-tool for other Google developers to use to make their code more robust and efficient. This project required Protocol Buffers, Google's Guice Dependency, a server and client side interface, as well as many other features.
