About Edward Docherty

I am a Private Banker with over 30 years' experience advising the leading UHNWs and Family Offices in the UK.The first 15 years of my career were spent at world-renowned professional firms and banks, advising business owners on their accounting, tax and corporate finance needs.Eventually, I took the plunge and became an entrepreneur myself, founding, building up over 4 years, then exiting my own business, which gave me a massive respect for what entrepreneurs do. 16 years ago, I decided to put all this experience - both of business and of being a business owner - to good use by becoming a private banker. I now advise a select number of some of the UK’s wealthiest individuals and families, managing their existing wealth to ensure that it is preserved and helping them grow their new business opportunities.I have an LLB (Hons) from the University of Glasgow, qualified as a Chartered Accountant, and am a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
