Highly skilled and dedicated dermatologist and postdoctoral research scholar at Stanford University with expertise in clinical research and patient care, specializing in the fields of dermatology and genetic disorders. In my primary project with the Tang Lab, I work on a randomized, controlled Phase 3 clinical trial focused on treating recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (RDEB) patients using autologous keratinocyte sheets expressing gene-corrected Collagen 7 (EB-101). I have been actively involved in various aspects of this project, including clinical operations, participant recruitment, patient care, data collection, analysis, literature reviews, manuscript writing, and presentation of findings. Furthermore, I have also been engaged in a secondary project, working on an Amazon Web Services-hosted EB patient registry. The objective of this platform is to gather and share de-identified longitudinal data on EB, fostering patient education, facilitating home-based genetic testing, and informing patients about available clinical trials. I have contributed significantly to the development of this registry, writing the central IRB protocol, informed consent forms, and assisting with the design of the website. Furthermore, I also work on genotype-phenotype studies for EB. My responsibilities in this endeavor include genetic data collection, organization, cleaning, and analysis, leading to the identification of hot spot mutations in COL7A1.In addition to my work in the Tang Lab, I have been actively involved in the Linos Lab, where I am engaged in the development and optimization of DORA (Dermatology for OldeR Adults). This user-friendly remote teledermatology platform, funded by the NIH, aims to enable longitudinal home-based monitoring of skin diseases. Within this project, I have played a pivotal role in patient recruitment and establishing the framework for the collection of longitudinal clinical, quality of life, and photographic data for various cutaneous conditions such as rosacea, infantile hemangioma, and epidermolysis bullosa. My contributions also include analyzing the DORA datasets, evaluating photo quality and perceived usefulness, with the ultimate goal of proving the clinical utility of DORA.
