Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Responsibilities)● Develop formulations for the company’s line of processed products. Ensuring regulatory compliance as it relates to the formulation and manufacturing of medical marijuana products. ● Evaluate formulas continuously to improve product quality, increase production efficiency, and reduce cost.● Apply scientific techniques, procedures, or methodologies to complete tasks and improve production quality.● Assist in developing and revising Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for processed products. ● Document the production and manufacturing of products for recordkeeping purposes. ● Work closely with the Director of Processing on the implementation of the formulation.● Oversee the operation of the R&D lab, including necessary internal testing of both new and existing products.● Develop and validate new analytical methods for internal analytical lab testing.● Review Third Party Lab testing results of infused products as needed.● Work with CPO and Director of Processing on the development and launch of new products. Ensuring timelines and critical deadlines are met. ● Maintain detailed and organized lab notebooks and research files.● Work with the Director/Asst. Director of Processing on the purchasing of ingredients and supplies to confirm that all ingredients meet our brand standard.● Write reports to the administration team and for internal or external publication.● Support the development of patents and grants relevant to on-going research.● Have a collaborative attitude and work closely with other scientists/ business team members to ensure that new technologies are developed in an efficient and timely fashion.● Work with team members to address questions and provide solutions to problems. Effectively communicate results to both technical and non-technical personnel.● Work on the Implementation of GMP and HACCP practices to our processing facility.
