Year Long Industrial Placement• Conducted capability studies and used findings to implement drawing design, dimensioning and tolerancing changes to drive quality improvements.• Established assembly limit criteria for a new automated production line. This project involved close co-ordination with internal and external stakeholders.• Investigated and produced recommendations to address quality issues effecting high-volume products to reduce early life failure and prevent customer complaints.• Became proficient with SolidWorks to produce 3D models and drawings. • Used Microsoft Excel and Minitab to perform statistical analysis and present data.• Wrote technical reports for projects undertaken.• Used a PDM software (DDM) to access CAD models, component and assembly drawings and conduct change processes.
