Responsible for evaluating the University’s risk exposures and administering campus risk programs. Assessed the vulnerabilities of and risk to critical assets. Developed and implemented Risk Management long-range goals and short-term objectives for three campuses. Served in a consultative role to the campus regarding risk management issues. Compiled reports and analyzed date regarding injury trends to identify work practices and/or campus locations that resulted in clusters of injuries. Coordinated accident/incident investigations, reviewed accident investigation findings with administration and safety committee. Consulted with supervisors of injured workers to identify conditions that contributed to injuries. Identified ways to reduce these risks and prioritized these responses based on potential severity of loss and the probability of occurrence resulting in lower injury rates. Programs included fire safety, hazardous chemical and waste management, fall protection, lockout tagout, hazard communication, and respiratory protection. Reviewed safety programs annually to ensure compliance with regulations. Performed campus-wide asbestos surveys, and worked with contractors on abatement projects. Performed environmental testing and investigationsWorked with contractors to ensure safety compliance. Performed routine inspections of all campus buildings, grounds and equipment to identify hazards, exposures and potential violations.
