Edward KADOZI’s profession intersects industry practice with academia. He has over 14 years of progressive experience in skills development and employment promotion, the economics of migration, human capital development, institutional economics, trade, environment and energy economics, and policy analysis. Edward has over 14 years of teaching and research supervision experience at high-learning institutions and professional training institutes. Currently, he is a visiting lecturer at the University of Rwanda and Kigali Independent University in the master’s programs where he respectively teaches: development economics, economic policies, environmental economics, Migration and Development, and Development theories and strategies. Since 2013, Edward is the lead trainer of Public Policy Design and Policy Analysis at Rwanda Management Institute. He is the Lead Trainer of Policy Design and Policy Analysis at the Center for Development Policy (CDP). He is an external supervisor of PhD and master’s students. Edward has initiated and implemented several policies, programs and research grants. He has supervised 50+ research projects for Master’s, bachelor's, and PhD candidates respectively from Universities in Rwanda, Europe, and the USA. He is the founder and the president of the Centre for Development Policy. He has developed several policy papers and policy briefs for different organizations in Africa. Edward’s research interests are in; the economics of migration, institutional economics, trade, development economics, energy and environment economics, disability, gender empowerment, human capital development, and skills development and labour markets. He received his PhD Nov 2019 from the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands in Economics with a specialization in Political economy and his Master’s degree in public policy from Tsinghua University, China. He received a Bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Rwanda.
