-Perform troubleshoot, repair, install, and preventative maintenance on select Bruker Daltonic systems- Work on Applications such as: Organism identification by Biotyper and peptide sequencing my MSMS-Mass Spectrometers: MALDI-ToF, ESI-Q-ToF, TIMS-ToF-Nanoflow UHPLC

Maintain triple quadrupole and MALDI type mass spectrometer instruments in a state of good repair. Schedule and over see periodic preventative maintenance (for example: roughing pump oil changes, instrument cleaning, and calibration). Service peripheral devices such as rough pumps (replace rotary vanes, seals, and intakes) and HPLC (identify leaks, contamination, and bloackages). Provide LC-MS training and method development.

Develop methodology involving MALDI-ToF and LC-ESI triple quadrupole MS to monitor and identify proteins in supernatants from cultures of human epithelial lung cells (A549) from a caner cell line.Identified (Mascot analysis) proteins present by using nano flow LC-ESI triple quadrupole to perform tandem-MS experiments on supernatants denatured, cysteine carbamidomethylated, and trypsin digested.Learned to assemble a nano-ESI made ‘in-house’ by using commercially available components.
