Foundations sets the tone for the SMC-DL and culminates with an in-resident two-week phase. DDE executes the SMC-DL via three phases over an 18 to 24-month duration.

The LDDM program is designed to be a “cradle-to-grace” fire service leadership development/decision-making training and education continuum that has consistent themes, priorities, and lines of education in order to institutionalize the highest-quality leadership in the fire service. Each level within the LDDM Program is provided relevant opportunities for development, which are specific to their rank across seven common Lines of Education (LOE). The purpose of the IFSI Resiliency Project is to positively impact the health and resilience of every first responder who participated in classes. Courses offered are designed to provide support for first responders at any stage of their career with the necessary tools to respond in a resilient way to the stressors that come with the job as well as stress from off the job. Focusing on cutting-edge science, students will see how stress can damage the brain and body, and also how to recover from the damage. These programs fall within the Leadership and Command Programs Directorate.Takes ownership of and responsibility for delivery of the classes within the program while maintaining clear and consistent communication with the Program Director. The Program Manager (PM) serves as the primary point of contact for the classes under his jurisdiction. This position directly reports to the Program Director of Leadership and Command Programs.

This position will deliver classroom and hands on instruction with minimum supervision and will be used when classes require an Instructor of this category. Deliver instruction and education following IFSI policies, as directed by the Program Manager. Oversee testing as required by IFSI policy, by course requirements, and Pro Board standards. Ensure that all proper documentation is complete and delivered to administrative support staff in a timely manner.
