Responsibilities include but not limited to:Supervise all Facility Assistants, Information Center Assistants, and Technical Services Assistants who work during your shift(s). Supervise Information Center Assistants when the Information Student Supervisor is not on duty. Assist in Student Assistant training. Responsible for on-going training, work performance, performance feedback, and semester-end evaluation of Facility Assistants.During the evening hours (when two managers are on duty), Managers may be assigned the role Event Manager which encompasses the following duties:- Checks event rooms before the sponsor arrives to ensure rooms are prepared correctly per set-up worksheets and client specifications. Complete pre-event walk thru with client when they arrive.- Meet and greet clients upon their arrival. Project friendly, positive demeanor during interactions with clients. Review and explain pertinent policies with client. Review room/set-up details with client and modify set-ups as necessary to ensure client satisfaction and event success.- Rotate presence through all events in progress to evaluate event success and to identify potential problems.- Complete post-event walk thru with client to evaluate event success and identify any possible damages.- Assist the Operations Manager with supervision of the University Student Commons during the day on weekdays. Manage the facility on evenings and weekends.- Ensure that all services provided by the facility are done effectively and ensure all facilities meet the cleanliness standards for customer service for Commons & Activities.- Open and close the building each day. Perform building inspection tours. Responsible for building security and handling emergencies. Identify problems and act on them as appropriate. Enforce building and operating policies and procedures.- Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
