I was evaluating price and demand differentials of commodities in different markets, comparing different chartering options, as well as conducting due diligence of suppliers and receivers; liaising with merchant banks and ship brokers; documentary requirements in terms of bills of lading; letters of credit; and fiscal dues and taxes charged by both the exporting and importing customs offices.
