My passion is working at the intersection of economics and social impact as a board director, senior executive and public policy advocate.I was the Deans Scholar for Economics at the University of Sydney, where I helped establish 180 Degrees Consulting, the world's largest consultancy for non-profits and social enterprises. Over the last 15 years 180DC has grown from a single university, to 170 branches operating in 34 countries with 7000 consultants deployed at any given time. Last year it provided over $27m in consulting services. I spent my early career working as an analyst for the chairman of Australia's best performing private equity fund - and as a speechwriter for senior Australian political and business figures. My passion for communication is something I developed as a keen university debater where I won both the World and Australasian Debating championships.I was the Director of Economics at Australia's largest independent civil society group - focused on the role fiscal policy plays in supporting jobs, and communities facing transition across Australia. During my time I hosted a podcast that featured Nobel Laureate Joseph Stiglitz, Yanis Varoufakis, Stephanie Kelton and George Monbiot.
