Covering local sports news for the Pottstown Mercury, a daily newspaper in the greater Philadelphia region. I am responsible for reporting on 12 to 15 area high schools within the paper’s coverage area, attending live events and producing written and digital content for the Mercury’s print, digital and social media properties.

Producing all written content for SportsZone, Penn Charter’s high school athletics blog. I produce weekly comprehensive reports during the school year in which I am responsible for interviewing and cultivating relationships with 27 varsity head coaches, school administrators and student-athletes. I attend games and practices and cultivate the school’s online and social media coverage of its sports teams. Additionally, I am a contributing writer to Penn Charter Magazine, published twice annually.

Wrote product descriptions for NBA Top Shot, the flagship and trailblazing NFT product from Vancouver-based Dapper Labs, which has done more than $1 billion in sales since October 2020. During the 2022-23 NBA season and two abutting off-seasons as the sole writer and storyteller on the Top Shot team, I wrote approximately 1,500 descriptions for every digital collectible we created. Every word that consumers saw on our products — or “Moments,” as they are called — that they bought, sold or traded, were mine.

Wrote two stories per week covering five local high schools for Chestnut Hill's weekly newspaper.

Wrote one weekly long form story on a student-athlete from one of Suburban One League’s 24 high schools spanning Bucks and Montgomery Counties in suburban Philadelphia.

Freelance sports reporter for a website devoted to extended coverage of local Philadelphia high school and City Six collegiate athletics. Was responsible for attending live events and writing game recaps and feature stories. During live event coverage, I coordinated with offsite editors to shoot video highlights, take photographs and post Twitter updates for their more than 6,000 followers.

As part of my graduate school thesis project requirement, I partnered and collaborated with the Washington Township High School athletic director to provide a thorough edit of the athletic department’s handbook of coaching ethics. The 80-page document is attached for review.

Contributed to and managed website content and internal communications, oversaw multiple social media accounts, assisted in covering tournaments and events, and worked on original publicationsincluding Touchline, for Pennsylvania youth soccer’s state association.

Created all forms of written content for one of the Philadelphia area’s most notable cancer nonprofits. Wrote cancer-related feature stories for the foundation website, published a monthly communications newsletter and wrote and approved content for multiple social media platforms totaling more than 400,000 combined followers.

Managed daily operations for HUDDLE, one of the country’s top-grossing sports and entertainment mobile apps (over $4 million in revenue from October 2015-2016). Oversaw daily content roadmap and integration, managed the creation and publishing of hundreds of pieces of content per week and helped take business into its current business state with an exclusively-licensed NFL/NFLPA deal.HUDDLE is a digital trading card app/game that combines a mix of the nostalgia of card collecting and the competitive spirit of fantasy sports. The cards people collect score in real-time as fans compete from around the world (tens of thousands of daily active users). Worked closely with digital team members on content production, product development, audience development, finance, design, marketing, analytics, social media, editorial and fantasy sports gameplay.

Handled all scholastic athletic coverage at a dozen area high schools for a weekly publication with more than 100,000 readers. Also sought out compelling human interest stories, becoming a three-time Keystone Award winner from 2013-2015. Assisted with page design and layout, and served as both the paper's social media and web editors in the interest of keeping our readers informed seven days a week.
