Chief liaison to the House and Senate defense subcommittees for the annual $21B Navy Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) appropriations portfolio that contains the Navy’s priority acquisitions, including unmanned vehicles, directed energy/lasers, and accelerated experimentation efforts supporting future maritime technologies

Executed engagements to advance DoD/DoN interests and communicate priorities to Senate leaders. Travel partner of choice for key enablers of defense policy in the Senate. Planned, led, and escorted congressional delegations worldwide to regions critical to national security policy.

Staffed Senate Armed Services and Foreign Relations Committee hearings on issues ranging from acquisition programs to global defense. Prepared squadron detachments to support operations in the Western Pacific. Deployed as airspace coordination officer and served as Detachment Officer-in-Charge on the ground in the Philippines during humanitarian aid/disaster relief operations and as Naval Liaison in the U.S. Forces Korea Air Operations Center, during major bilateral exercises.

Served as Aide-de-camp for the 4-star Commander of Naval Forces Europe & Africa during U.S. and NATO operations in Kosovo and Libya. Coordinated maritime engagements with fledgling NATO countries in the Balkans region, supporting defense reform efforts.

Managed E-2C community aircrew safety and qualification program and conducted fleet-wide Unit Evaluations and standardization flights for 14 E-2C squadrons. Instructed 250+ student naval flight officers through classroom instruction, flight simulators, and/or in-flight observation in aircraft systems, tactics, and airborne command & control operations.

Deployed aboard USS Constellation, flying initial sorties in support of coalition operations in Iraq and the Persian Gulf; and aboard USS Abraham Lincoln patrolling the Western Pacific.
