My decision to pursue a J.D. is premised on the belief that it will provide me the opportunity to advocate for others and the greater good, develop my passion for philosophy, and enable me to effectively use the experience I obtained through a science based education. I plan to focus my studies primarily on intellectual property and medical law. I find great purpose in upholding medical standards of care, but also take great interest in the legal protection of inventor’s rights. I believe a career in these professions would allow me to promote honest innovation and medicine for the advancement of technology, engineering, and healthcare that benefits all. I am eager to learn not only about my particular legal interests, but also about the division of powers in our legal system, legal ethics, and general jurisprudence.
