Developed portfolio summary and analysis software in VBA designed to interface with vendor systems and real-time data feeds for taking live snapshots of detailed trading positions at expiry. With additional historical archiving and recon, processing went from four hours to a total of ten to fifteen minutes with a preparation time of moments.Merged live Reuter’s market data with detailed Average Rate Option positions in an historical archiving spreadsheet. VBA data handling and error checking in combination with vendor system upgrades eliminated 99+% of data entry and reduced position analysis time to seconds.Created processing center for daily production and reporting of P & L for Global FX Options. Through automations using VBA and UNIX shell scripting interfacing across a wide platform of applications and information systems distributed across a combination of SUN/HP and Windows OS, total employee time was reduced from a full time position to about an hour and a half of hands off processing. Standardized formatting had the added benefit of easily integrating with legacy systems.Built daily Mark to Market end of day processes to automate distribution of exotic options valuation spreadsheets to customers according to individually requested schedules. Later worked on the team that merged this reporting with other major lines of business on the corporate web site.Headed project to design and deploy error correction request and tracking functionality and also tray notification of data to relevant users for E-ticketing system. Project was developed in ASP .NET and VB .NET.

Web accessible reports showed next to real time trading positions.Worked on the institution of a web based Straight Through Processing E-ticketing system designed to replace paper trade booking for FX Options Trading. The system uses jsp, asp, and xml on Windows Server in conjunction with data handling and a vendor booking system running on UNIX.Created Java servlet to increase security to accommodate international regulations regarding Singapore banking laws. Using password authenticated sessions, user access is logged or redirected depending on authorization. Data passes entirely through servlet keeping directory structure and data secure. Developed software in VBA for tracking daily changes of market adjustments or “Skew” for Barrier Options and Average Rate Options. Reporting used easily distributable Excel Spreadsheets. Tools for this project were the basis of automated spreadsheet reporting with very little to no user intervention.Support and maintenance of next to real time data updating on trading systems using Sybase and Reuters feeds residing on UNIX platform intranet directories.Responsible for production support and troubleshooting during preparation and deployment of several major roll outs of global software updates. Projects included, rewriting file output formatting software, scripting updates and legacy system integration to ensure a seamless transition for the end user.
