About Edward Piegza

Edward Piegza is the founder and CEO of Classic Journeys, considered the finest walking and hiking tour company in the world. Classic Journeys has been named the World's Best Tour Operator by Travel + Leisure magazine multiple times, and has also been inducted into the prestigious Travel + Leisure Hall of Fame. Since 1995, Classic Journeys has been handcrafting trips of a lifetime that immerse travelers into the history and culture of 50 countries on six continents on foot at eye level. In 2021, Classic Journeys became a part of the Lindblad Expeditions family of companies. Among his accomplishments, Edward pioneered island-based travel to the Galápagos and is considered one of the foremost experts in cultural and family programs in Cuba. Edward lives in La Jolla with his wife, Susie, and two Rhodesian Ridgebacks. They have two adult sons, Jack and Matthew.
