I am working in the software development team for the Science Data Processor for the Square Kilometer Array.

I was a member of the Radiometry Group in the Earth Observation and Atmospheric Sciences Division within RAL Space. I worked on calibration analysis and data processing algorithms for existing and future Earth Observation missions. In particular, focused on the Sea and Land Surface Temperature Radiometer (SLSTR) onboard the European Sentinel-3 series of satellites. I am an expert in the data and processing, especially for the infrared channels, measuring the temperature of the surface of the Earth to very high accuracy and stability. I work with satellite data at all stages from ground testing, through in-flight commissioning, to routine operations, providing support to users at each stage.

I was a member of the UK-based team which ran the SPIRE instrument on board the European Space Agency Herschel Space Observatory. I led the SPIRE imaging Fourier transform spectrometer (FTS) team. We were responsible for software, calibration and documentation for the FTS and in addition provided support for astronomers using and analysing the data from the FTS.

Bonn, Germany

I worked on astronomical data analysis and interpretation, and in the team preparing and commissioning the Atacama Pathfinder Experiment (APEX) telescope in Chile. I was responsible for writing the online calibration and reduction software for the heterodyne instruments on APEX.
