I am new undergraduate transfer student to the University of Arizona, working toward a second bachelor of science in mathematics with a minor in computer science. I currently have a bachelor of science in chemistry, which I had applied to a high school teaching career. I offer eight years of experience in public education in the areas of mathematics, science, and special education, serving a variety of student populations including students considered at-risk, students with autism, and students with cognitive impairments. In addition to teaching, I have about three years of experience as a direct care worker providing services including habilitation, respite, and attendant care to both children and adults with developmental disabilities and/or physical challenges. I hope to apply my current academic studies, chemistry degree, and experience as a math and science teacher to a summer technical internship with a focus on data analytics.
