Edward has been in the entertainment, sports, leisure and broadcast industries for over five decades.Between 1970 and 2015, Edward produced such films as “The Stud” and “The Bitch”, starring Joan Collins; “The Lawnmower Man”, starring Pierce Brosnan; and was executive producer of “Absolutely Anything”, written and directed by Monty Python’s Terry Jones, starring Simon Pegg, Kate Beckinsale and featuring the voice of Robin Williams. All together Edward has produced over 40 films.Between 1982 and 2009, Edward was involved in the promotion of many of the world’s most popular artists including The Rolling Stones and Queen; as well as major events including “Live Aid”. Within the sports arena, Edward co-founded the “London Leopards” basketball franchise in 1992, a top UK team of which he was chairman until 2004. Games attracted live audiences of up to 10,000. On behalf of the league, Edward negotiated broadcast deals with Sky Sports. He was also involved in the promotion of major UK and US championship boxing matches featuring such fighters as Joe Calzaghe, Amir Khan, Ricky Hatton and Mike Tyson.Edward co-founded XFM Radio which eventually sold to Capital Radio. He was one of a group of entrepreneurs responsible for developing the London Arena, a 15,000-seater indoor arena in East London.In 2012, Edward became a founder shareholder of public service broadcaster, That’s Media Group, of which he continues to serve as chairman. That’s Media Group is now the UK’s leading independent television broadcaster with 21 stations, broadcasting to over 10 million UK homes.In 2020, Edward became non executive chairman of Quanta Media Group.
