Duties: I performs most aspects of technical supply and tool management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities.Receives, stores and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, hazardous materials (HAZMAT), shop supplies and equipment, such as measuring devices, in an industrial establishment. Monitors condition of all tools and equipment in tool room custody and is responsible for accountability of all tool inventories. Ensures client labeling, inspection, and calibration requirements are met on all tools within their custody.Responsibilities:As a tool and part attendant, I maintains records of tools issued to and returned by workers. I Ensures logs are accurate.Receives, accounts for, unpacks and stores new equipment. Attach identification tags or engrave identifying information on tools and equipment, using electric marking tools.I Prepares periodic inventory or keep perpetual inventory and requisitions stock as needed. Monitors condition of all equipment on an ongoing basis. Reports loss, damage or destruction of tooling in accordance with documented procedures. HONEYWELL AEROSPACE ANNISTON, AL. — MECHANIC ASSEMBLY/ANALYST III08/2000- 06/17/2020Duties: As a Mechanic Assembly/Analyst III, I perform work for the valve product line. My main duties are to troubleshoot aircraft valves and components, and/or subassemblies to make determination on proper operation. Identifies malfunctions and determines corrective action required (whether portions must be repaired or replaced). Able to demonstrate all department operations and processes such as disassemble, Clean, Inspect, Analyze, Assemble and Test valves to recertify as air worthy. Assemble, & install electrical, plumbing, mechanical, structural components and calibrate aircraft systems, using hand tools and power tools. Refer all questionable work and conditions to supervisor and other appropriate personnel. I know how to use precision instruments such as calipers, scales, depth gauges, micrometers, thread gauges and other similar measuring devices. I spot check my work in progress and is inspected upon completion for compliance with instructions and overall acceptability of work. It requires standing, stooping, bending, sitting and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. I am frequently moving and lifting parts and materials up to 20-25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Lean Processes, I engage in a lean manufacturing environment, and know different processes to improve production. Apply HOS tools to daily processes in pursuit of continuous improvement i.e.standard work, rapid problem solving, knowledge sharing, built in quality and PDCA plan do check adjust.I read and apply written instructions, less complex blueprints, computer maintenance manuals, sketches and specifications as required in the fabrication or modification of parts and components for a variety of equipment such as components and control instruments that are not available through normal supply channels.
