Vector Powerboats Inc designs and builds some of the fastest V-hull powerboats in the world. Using advanced materials, design, and manufacturing processes, Vector Powerboats supplies both consumer and commercial entities with go-fast platforms with a range of capabilities.Serving under the President of the company, I oversee Vector Powerboats technical and developmental operations, including manufacturing, design development (including CAD packages), client technical briefings, component logistics, resource management, client relationship liaison and development, and domestic and international marketing drives.Outside of maintaining the daily operations of the business, I have a key role in developing multiple commercial and government contracts for large production runs of patrol and interceptor variants of Vector Powerboats boats.

STAR is primarily an R&D lab working with partners to enable the use of intelligent materials, sensors, and decision support in response to human performance challenges. I have mainly worked on the CAD processing portion of STAR design projects, including contract CAD design work. This design work has involved 3D scanning to accurately reverse-engineer parts, and has included 3D printing components.Projects I have been involved with include: Skytrac helicopter part reverse-engineering, HKIN human skeleton modelling, and Ford truck suspension geometry reverse-engineering and modelling.

CRN is a laboratory focused on composite material related research, design, and development. I work with a large degree of autonomy under a lab coordinator to provide various R&D services to composite industry clients.Projects I have been involved with include: Kohler mould 3D scanning and modelling, AS Composites guardrail design and production, DRAO radio dish material testing, Boeing cargo floor design, production theory, and testing, Ford motor company pre-preg fibre analysis and testing, granite sample strain testing, personal belongings carrier design and production, and resin charcoal filler testing.

UBCO Motorsports is an FSAE (Formula Student in the UK) team focused on designing, building, and funding a Formula SAE motorsports program. I was part of the founding team in 2013 and have been a key member of the team throughout my university career – having been involved with designing and manufacturing composite parts, as well as the management of the team, including as Team Captain. I have been the primary sponsor liaison for the past several years, with an annual budget over $60k.Since 2016 we have competed a total of two cars in three FSAE sanctioned yearly events with great success. We are focused on continuing and improving the program over the coming years. My actionable goal for the team is to graduate with the annual budget being over $75k.

I worked under the Directors of the full-service composites company ACE Technology (based in the UK Midlands). Mostly involved in motorsport composites, I had a role in designing and modifying CAD models of production component moulds and parts. I coordinated the selection and operation of their first 3D printing facility; operated the system during my tenure, and trained permanent operators. I also advanced their quality control metrology facility by organizing the selection and operation of new systems.In addition to technical tasks, I had a strong involvement in the production of client presentations, part inventory monitoring, and equipment management. I worked here during the summers of 2017 (June to September), and 2018 (May to August) when not attending University.
