Spent 8 weeks working on the Term Funding Facility in the Domestic Markets Team. This gave me on the ground experience of one of the largest expansions in the banks' balance sheet in its history as well as seeing firsthand the way in which unconventional monetary policy was implemented. I worked on a research note to determine the impact of the Term Funding Facility on credit default swap prices by doing a principle component regression on international swaps data and forecasting how prices would have moved in the absence of the Term Funding Facility. I also created a competitive bank pricing model to see how lower bank funding costs flowed through to bank pricing decisions.

I work in microsimulation modelling within the Quantitiative Analysis Branch of the Department, working to refine and produce analysis with the government's Capita and Capita-B economic models.

Worked in both the Digital Delta management consultancy team and within Risk Assurance in a data analytics capacity.
