About Edward Stratton

My experience lies in newspapers, with an electronic tinge. It spans weeklies with no websites to managing a neighborhood web page within and a twitter account for a metropolitan daily. I report, write, photograph and edit stories on every subject. I also shoot photos and produce videos in accompaniment.My primary goal is to work at a high-quality newspaper free of undue and unethical influence of both public and private interests. Being able to work in any medium is important to me, although I still think print is the most efficient medium in which to convey news.I want to create stories that engage and have a constructive effect on people, helping them enjoy life more and hopefully continue our self-governing democracy. I'd also like to pay my rent and student loans.Specialties: My specialty by virtue of relevant experience is community journalism.I can write, photograph, record audio, produce videos and edit it all. My personal collection of gadgets includes a D-SLR, HD video recorder, editing software, pens and lots of paper.
