About Edward Tate
I joined the Hepatitis B Foundation, the Baruch S. Blumberg Institute and the Pennsylvania Biotechnology Center (PABC) in March of 2020 after two years at the Health Care Institute of New Jersey. In 2017, I was director of communications and strategic planning for Central Bucks School District, one of Pennsylvania's best and largest. I'm in year nine as a school board director in the Council Rock School District, also one of our state's best and largest, where I was board president in 2016-17 and am currently vice president. At Rutgers University, I created and ran the communications function for the Office of Research and Economic Development in 2011-16. Previously, I spent 12 years in commercial PR and marketing, preceded by two years at ETS, 10 years at UIC and a decade as a journalist in radio, TV and newspapers.

Along with communications and marketing for the Hepatitis B Foundation, I direct those functions for the Pennsylvania Biotechnology Center (PABC) and Baruch S. Blumberg Institute. Our three nonprofits share a campus in Doylestown, where we have just completed $20 million expansion project. Additionally, I serve on the Council Rock School District Board of School Directors and am a member of Council Rock Education Foundation Board of Directors the Newtown Twp. Economic Development Committee.
