Consolidated 72 servers down to 8 (99.999% virtualized) with co-locations in Houston and Arizona. * Designed a disaster recovery system, which is able to fail over to backup servers within hours instead of days. Eliminated $400K in annual costs from a 3rd party service and reduced maintenance costs by $150K per year. * Noted as a leader in mid-market virtualization and disaster recovery in articles and case studies written by VMware Inc., TW Telecom Inc., IO Data Centers Inc., and DataVox Inc. * Sourced by VMware Inc. leadership to serve on the VMware Mid-Market Advisory Board. The 15-member group of technical leaders gathers 3 times a year to discuss market price and usability of new VMware releases for the mid sized market.* Led the call center transition from analog to VoIP. The solution also incorporated fail over to another city. * Established the company’s IT department, built the company’s original Novell network, and converted all insurance policies to PC based form generation software. In 2003, designed and implemented a new Windows network.
