I designed and taught 3 different courses to gifted and talented 3rd and 4th graders in the Nashville area: Microbes - Our Persistent Buddies, Microbial Mythbusters, and No Quick Fix. These courses were designed for six class periods of 3 hours.
I tested the efficacy of new C. difficile therapies using a mouse model of infection. I elucidated the mechanisms of C. difficile protection using adenosine receptor agonists and antagonists. I studied the effect of antibiotic treatments during C. difficile infection on IgG and IgA production against C. difficile toxins.
l set up research tests and procedures for analysis of conductivity of lithium iodide and alumina nanofiber electrolyte composites under supervisor guidance.
