In my current role, I manage multiple key deliverables to Transatlantic leadership including monthly commentary, mid-month commentary, T&E reporting, aging receivables, national marketing fund, bank reconciliations.• Liaise directly with supplier partners to facilitate and reconcile cross-company pay-ments and transfers• Develop national trackers and tools for the national finance team in areas such as AOP planning tool for open TAS state as well as the control state NAF trackers. • Evaluate divisional control state marketing spends and provide advisory expertise in financial planning. • Collect and analyze financial data to support leadership initiatives as well as provide relevant content for supplier presentation

My time with the FP&A team at Bacardi was an incredible internship and opened my eyes to working in corporate finance. I prepared the Financial presentations for the Annual General Meeting, helping me gain an understanding of Financial analysis.While learning how to use the TM1 and Oracle systems, I evaluated the Net Sales and designed a roll up for all of the Bacardi Region’s Profit & Loss Statements. I also assisted colleagues with any ad hoc work, especially the Consolidation and Tax teams.In my first week, to gain knowledge about the brand, I supported on and off trade marketing and helped set up a pop-up store (Casa Bacardi, Hamilton).

I assisted the lead brokers on understanding clients' specific needs and helped present to potential insurers. I was able to create great relationships in the workplace and was awarded more confidence from my bosses.I researched the European Union market for Tech Media and Telecommunications, Transport, and Food & Drink sectors for potential clients and their risks. I also reviewed tenders for prospective clients with the project management teams. I was also able to work with the political and terrorism risk for international corporations.

During my time with one of the largest banks in the world I learned quite a bit about using analytical tools. I monitored monthly sales and documented sales reports for the Global Markets Institutional Clients team, which focuses on the sale of credit to the bank’s 33 largest clients. In a difficult work environment for a non-native speaker, I persevered and leaned a lot about Microsoft Excel. I also prepared client presentations, both for existing and prospective institutional clients.
