IDEAS, builds upon EDCO’s mission in supporting districts as they focus on culturally proficient schools and classrooms. IDEAS extends the professional learning opportunities available to school districts as they work to enhance the culturally proficient practices identified in Standards II and III of the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Model Teacher Rubric.As an IDEAS consultant/instructor, I focus on the professional learning opportunities in cultural proficiency to support equity and success for all students by facilitating workshops and/or instructing courses grounded in multicultural and anti-racist initiatives.

Edward Walker has established himself as an influential inspirational speaker, known as, Ed “Inspire for Higher” Walker. He has impacted the lives of thousands of audience members as the guest and keynote speaker at various middle schools, high schools, colleges/universities, and community based organizations, and regional and national education institutions. For the past 16 years, Ed has committed his entire professional career to improving educational advancement for others.

➢ Founded a consortium of dedicated educational consultants who:➢ Provide consulting in various topics within the realm of education: middle schools, high schools, colleges/universities, and non-profit organization personnel ➢ Specialize in college planning and preparation, curriculum design, training, and instruction➢ Established working partnerships with numerous non-profits educational organizations➢ Conduct a myriad of educational workshops, primarily for middle – high school grades, in areas such as educational awareness, the complete college search process and application process, Financial Literacy, FAFSA, etc

➢ Teach an intensive eight week summer college preparatory course for high school juniors➢ Conduct college placement consulting sessions with high school seniors➢ Available for consultation via telephone and email during the application season➢ Conduct a college touring/PSAT debriefing and FAFSA workshop for CSA Scholars
