One of my main interests has always been technology. During my PhD at Imperial College London, I came across the concept of being a patent attorney. The idea attracted me, because a the job can essentially be boiled down to people bringing interesting new technologies to you to learn about. Being a patent attorney also speaks to my argumentative side as well! After my PhD, I joined and trained as a patent attorney at a top-tier patent firm, becoming an associate. I was then presented with a great opportunity - joining Deep Render. This meant I could go right to the cutting edge of the development of some of the most interesting modern technologies, AI and machine learning. At home, lots of my time at the moment is taken up with looking after my two young daughters, but I try to find time to play games when I can (of both the board and video variety). Hopefully one day I can combine them together, if the girls will put up with it.
