I am a dreamer, designer, avid reader, and optimist. From bold visions of high-minded utopias, to the purposeful plans and sections of a government office, my passion lies in creating and analyzing spaces and structures. I believe the arts is essential to a full understanding of who we are: our cultures, our hopes, our position in history. I believe what we build and how we build it is a foundational aspect of the way we live, and reflects the values of our society.It's been said that we are living through a global world of work defined by turbulence and tectonic shifts in the status quo. New obstacles are emerging; housing affordability, economic turbulence, challenges to global peace, and the growing shadow of a climate in decline. This is a century that demands diverse new commitments to the defense of our planet and new advocates that can speak to our shared humanity because we face before us a titanic endeavor that no field or nation can hope to solve alone. I am currently enrolled in the University of Waterloo's Bachelor's of Architectural Studies program, working so that I may one day be fortunate enough to be able to count myself as part of such an enterprise; so that I may do my part in ending the climate crisis, in providing more affordable living, in erasing poverty and outlawing scarcity. My present goal is to learn more about the real world design processes of my field through co-op education, hone my skills through industry experience, and eventually pursue graduate studies. My hobbies include painting and sketching, as well as playing badminton, cycling, writing, and anything I happen to find interesting on that particular day.
