Promoted to sole manager of team of more than 35 hot mill and quench and temper staff for manufacturing process that was new to me. Concomitantly served as Process Engineer for combustion furnaces. Conducted weeklong training program on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS) for all hot mill maintenance and operations employees across all shifts (100+). Individually trained a group of 20 and co-trained more than 80. Reduced variation between crews and improved product quality by initiating and implementing new SOPS that provided more effective definition and control for process nonconformance.
