• Guided system architecture development and team leadership of detail design for the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS), Cluster 1 RF power amplifiers. • Authored multiple trade studies and white papers on alternative architectures to provide very wide bandwidth (30-450 MHz and 225-2000 MHz) software-configurable power amplifiers capable of transmitting multiple diverse waveforms for military defense communications. • Provided leadership for RF design and systems engineering groups working on the Ballistic Missile Defense Organization Exo-Atmospheric Kill Vehicle (EKV) RF data link. This design team was responsible for both the ground modem and EKV transceiver operating at 700 MHz and 20 GHz, respectively. • Performed personnel management, planning, scheduling, cost account management and risk mitigation. • Served as Technical Director for EKV program during my last 3 months on the program.

• Directed a team of electrical and mechanical designers, lab technicians, and computer-aided-drafting personnel in the development and sustaining engineering of Glenayre paging base stations, including RF power amplifiers, exciters and receivers from 70 to 960 MHz. • Contributed to new product development definition. • Coordinated quarterly project prioritization reviews.• Demonstrated lead technical role by researching and applying innovative technology to new product development. • Displayed proficiency in small signal RF technology and its application to wireless design. • Proposed new design concepts, contributed to product plans and performed high level design analysis. • Generated product development schedules, contributed to RF design, and assumed responsibility for overall performance. • Analyzed narrowband personal communication service (NPCS) system, providing optimum design tradeoffs in cavity filter, multicoupler, and receiver designs.
