The Vice President of Facilities and Support Services is responsible for the departmental operations and financial performance of the Departments of Real Estate, Plant/Facility Operations, Construction, Public Safety, Parking, Transportation, Food Service, and Environmental Services at all Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) locations.

Named after Malcolm Baldrige, the 26th Secretary of Commerce, the Baldrige Award was established by Congress in 1987 as the nation’s highest honor for organizational innovation and performance excellence. The Examiner board is composed of leading experts from industry, professional, trade, education, health care, nonprofit and government organizations from across the United States. Those selected meet the highest standards of qualification and peer recognition, demonstrating competencies related to customer focus, communication, ethics, action orientation, team building and analytical skills. Responsible for individual and consensus review and evaluation of applications submitted for the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program.

• Oversee and manage Facility Management, Food & Nutrition Services, Clinical Engineering, Environmental Services, Safety & Security Services, Construction and Property Management Services.. Responsible for new construction and renovation projects with a combined project value in excess of $100M including 2 Outpatient Medical Centers, Conversion of entire hospital from semi-private to private rooms , two new Emergency Departments and two new Urgent Care Centers. Expanded business revenue streams:• Strategically in sourced the MRI service at Quincy Medical Center, replacing long standing vendor with QMC staff and new equipment. New program captured $1,000,000 in net revenue annually.• Successfully negotiated the expansion of laboratory outreach program with the largest locally based multi-site clinic on the South Shore.• Led the expansion of the property management program from less than $25,000 gross revenue per annum to over $1,000,000 gross revenue per annum at Quincy Medical Center.• Successfully expand the geriatric psychiatric inpatient license by 10% at Quincy Medical Center.• Licensed a new tuberculosis (TB) clinic at Quincy Medical Center.• Established a new sleep lab service at Quincy Medical Center.• Led effort to successfully license the Quincy Medical Center primary stroke service.

Oversaw the management of the General Services Division of this two hospital multi-site system. Departments included Plant Operations, Facilities Management, Clinical Equipment Services, Environmental Services, Patient Food Services, Retail Food Operations & Clinical Nutrition. Annual construction and capital improvements exceeding $10M. Real Estate responsibilities included strategic planning and negotiations for two separately licensed hospitals and a skilled nursing facility within the main hospital sites.
