Utilised effective management strategies in order to ensure good business governance across all the international footprint as well as drive accurate and timely budgeting, forecasting and management reporting in line with the standards established by the board of directors.Executed action plans for the management of all international manufacturing operations with manufacturing sites in Europe, Africa, USA and Asia, while serving as member of the senior leadership team of the De La Rue plc business with headquarters in the UK. Directed capital investment projects to deliver the innovation and growth strategy as well as sustain business as usual operations, while continuously improving the return on the capital employed through continuous improvements initiatives. Developed operational excellence culture to utilise continuous improvement approach, including constantly striving to eliminate waste and create value for the customer and the business.Led all in-country aspects of plant & operations management, while serving as director for the two De La Rue companies in Malta, De La Rue Security Print Malta Ltd and De La Rue Services Malta.Following Are My Key Accomplishments:◆Oversaw the delivery of a €30M investment in the plant delivering a unique world class Center of Excellence. ◆Successfully achieved the first ever service level agreement in the country between a tenant’s association and the government, resulting in providing €150k of funding for maintenance of industrial park.◆Increased productivity by developing leadership at all levels and creating a high preforming team culture through engage and empowered people, organised in high performing teams using lean systems and tools to drive relentless focus on optimised results.◆Played a leading role in achieving “top of the class factory” in operational excellence worldwide, doubling the production output in both banknotes and passports with 30% less headcount, driving €11.4M year on year savings from Lean manufacturing and repeatedly exceeding P&L performance to budget.

As Chairman l convened and chaired all Council and General meetings. I addressed the Annual General Meeting, giving a report of the activities of BIETA during the previous year, highlight the current year’s undertakings and outline the strategic plans for the current next year; As chairman I represented the council with the relevant authorities and government entities and set forth matters under deliberation and submitted them for discussion;

An interim management role aimed at a blitz effort to turnaround an organisation in financial trouble. Three areas of focus and then handed over to a permanent GM :1. Instated an Operational Excellence Strategy for the organisation with senior management buy in.2. Instated a business planning system including Organisation Objectives & KPIs in support of OpEx Strategy and cascaded individual Objectives and KPIs to each senior management team member.3. Transformed organisation into a Best Practice Lean Manufacturing Facility via application of workplace organisation, 5S, Visual Performance Management, Standardisation and PDCA improvement cycle as the vehicle for A3 driven continuous improvement.

Collaborated with various business departments, while delivering best in class operational performance through a relentless focus on Safety, Quality, Cost and Customer Delivery, Enhanced the quality, cost, delivery, safety, and morale performance of the plant through effective operations/ production management, material planning and logistics, stores and material handling, transportation and logistics, inventory management, facilities management, lean management and lean production system implementation underpinned by strong leadership routines and a solid operational excellence strategy centred around engaged and empowered people, organised in high performance teams using lean systems and tools to deliver optimised results.Following Are My Key Accomplishments:◆Oversaw the implementation of an automated Kanban System linked to the MRP system enhancing the agility of the plant to react to changes in customer demand. ◆Turned around an underperforming £60M turnover UK plant as well as reversed losses into profits within 8 months, serving as catalyst for growth and transferred operation to Malta restoring business viability.◆Improved customer delivery performance from 88% to 99%, including reducing the late customer deliveries in revenue terms from €1.5M per week to less than €20k per week.
