Worked for the footwear production subsidiary in southern Vietnam, All Wells International, with up to 5,000 local employees and 100 expats from China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Philippines and UK, and key customers including Nike, Adidas and Puma.• Leadership: Coached the 15+ members HR team to improve customer social and labour rating by more than double within a year and get the customer audits from being uncompliant to passing every year. • Policies Improvement: Reviewed, updated, and standardised all the company’s HR policies and procedures to comply with local laws and coordinate with IPO requirements. Initiated the Employees Rewards and Disciplinary Committee, Training Need Analysis, and Company Anniversary Event to increase employee engagement in the organization.• COVID-19 Crisis Management: Liaised and arranged for the termination of contracts for 600+ employees and also long term unpaid leaves for 90% of employees in 2020 & 2021 under the COVID-19 pandemic. • Public Relations: Built up and maintained relationships with local authorities such as labour and immigration departments. Facilitated with the People’s Committee of the Province to approve a US $153K allowance for employees. Cooperated with the government on the employees’ vaccination, improving the percentage of vaccinated employees from 0% to 90% within a month.• Expats Admin: Directly implemented and managed expat-related HR affairs including on-boarding, off-boarding, work permit and visa applications, performance appraisal, etc.• Cross-departmental Project: Collaborated closely with IT engineers to design a new HRM system as a pilot within the group.
