* Provided a variety of counseling/coaching services for individuals/couples, workshops, motivational talks, in-service training for K12/college teachers/counselors/administrators and colleagues at national and international conferences/teleconferences * Developed Internet-based/hard copy guidance curricula, games, and innovative exercises for a variety of K-12, college, workshop settings, including free guidance materials available at JA Worldwide (ja.org), the National Career Development Association (NCDA.org), and via the Google link sited above. * Complimentary (1 1/2 hour) "mini-assessments and overviews" via the phone/Skype and provided in-person and distance counseling/coaching.* Private practice clients ranged from high school through retired with 40% age 29 and younger, and 60% older, with an equal mix of female and male clients. Clients include teachers, artists, carpenters, engineers, bankers, counselors, therapists, police officers, firefighters, nurses, CEO's, small business owners, MD's, Vets, individuals in a wide variety of occupations, including people experiencing separation and divorce. Most clients are US-based, including select clients abroad (Greece, China, Italy, Japan, Russia, etc.)* I mostly focused on people's transitions and facilitated discovering career-life choices with meaning, purpose and balance among life roles. This includes a SPIRITUAL WELLNESS (not religious) component, and I have successfully counseled/coached people with deep or little or no faith traditions. I provide an authentic focus on values clarification through DOVE (Depth-Oriented Values Clarification).* The approach I created is theory-based, proven, and powerfully successful and involves a variety of enjoyable techniques including reflection, writing, guided imagery, creation of Ideal Career-Life Scenarios, identifying bridge-jobs, action-planning, time-management/stress reduction, and academic advising for school-to school transitions.

Counseling Psychology; Co-Director, Plimpton Hall, Banard Coillege 1969-1973 while obtaining M.A. & Ed.D. Education, Teachers College, Columbia University. Employed at Manhattan Community College as a career counselor and Cooperative Education Department Instructor while completing Ed.D. thesis. Moved to Hawaiii 1973; employed at University of Hawaii as Coordinator of Cooperative Education, Coordinator of Vocational Education, Acting Coordinator of Special Programs and Public Services, Instructor for Career-Life Exploration and Planning Courses, and part-time Professor in the Graduate Division of Behavior Sciences at Chaminade University/select graduate classes at U.H. Manoa, Oahu. Tenured faculty member/Coordinator of Leeward Community College Career Development Center 1978-1991, including one-year faculty exchange at Bunker Hill Community College Boston, MA. Project Director/ Co-Developer Career Kokua- Hawaii's Statewide Career Information System; provided numerous trainings for Hawaii Depts. of Education, Vocational Rehabilitation, Labor & Industrial Relations, including lead trainer for K12/post-secondary/select agency staff throughout Pacific Rim Area, American Samoa, Guam, Saipan & Micronesia. Provided numerous classes/workshops for all U. S. Armed Services Military Family Service Centers on Oahu, Hawaii. Gubernatorial Appointee six years Hawaii State Commission On Manpower & Full Employment. Initiated private practice-Career Development & Counseling Services- Hawaii 1985; relocated to Boston, MA 1989; continued practice until 2017. Published numerous articles, book chapters, self-published Creating Careers with Confidence; selected for publication by National Braille Press Boston as first Braille career-life exploration & planning book for International distribution; also published by Pearson/Prentice Hall.
