EVERY student deserves to unlock their dream life by earning a college degree, but far too many students are underequipped with the strategies they need to do college in a way that works for them. Once upon a time, that was me...I was a first-gen, low-income, minority, transfer student and I spent (way too many) years fumbling through college, even dropping out of UCLA twice—seriously.It wasn’t until I learned HOW to learn, be more productive, and have a positive mindset around school that I found my way to a master’s degree and a career leading university learning centers.I loved it until I could no longer fight the urge to use my skills and experience in student success and digital media to reach more people. So, I left my career in higher ed and started Alma Modern as a place for students and their advocates to learn the strategies to defy the odds and THRIVE in college.When I'm not busy working or learning at Alma Modern, you'll find me wandering a local So Cal theme park with my family or in front of some window sipping an espresso.
