This project is about a worldwide group of people,women and men, Jewish and non-Jewish, using the Internet to come together and share our love of needlework to" commemorate and honor those people who were part of the atrocities, survivors as well as victims of the Holocaust, as well as those people who risked their lives to save other lives in that period of history." We were brought together by the warmth, vision and enthusiasm of "Rita Needle", the late Rita Lenkin Hawkins, who sadly did not live to see the project completed. She inspired all to initiate and pursue this project, even though it was initially presented as "impossible". It is our intention to complete this project as our tribute to this remarkable woman.These projects are dedicated to the memory of the six million jewish victims of the Holocaust, the survivors,those who saved lives at the risk of their own and this project's originator, Rita Lenkin Hawkins, the one and only "Rita Needle".L'Chaim,to life!

I create beaded jewelry; necklaces, bracelets, earrings, watchbands and bead embellished apparel; scarves, shawls, ruana, ponchos, shrugs and doll clothes.

I have worked part time for Borders for over twelve years. Three and a half of them as a part time closing manager, until the position was eliminated.I am currently a bookseller, until the completion of Borders liquidation.

I operated the Media Center, Channel One broadcasts and taping, coordinated audio visual equipment use,worked collaboratively with Social Studies, Language Arts and Reading teachers primarily.During my two years at Hoover I increased the per pupil book circulation by over 100%.

Supervised and managed the Media Center, provided audio visual equipment support, broadcast and taped Channel 1 and cable TV service, collaborated with staff to provide traditional and Internet research and related curriculum development services for approximately 1500 students and 75 professional staff.

Pre-K-8 Media Specialist/Computer Coordinator/Applications instructor.Supervised and managed the Media/Computer Center, audio visual equipment and related services. Provided Library and computer services to all grades, story times to preschool-grade 3 and Library/Research Skills to grades 4-6.

Taught Summer School classes in a variety of subjects.
