Through these activities, the lead ink tech will ensure that the highest level of productivity is consistently achieved • Review Drawdown request to completely understand work to be done.• Pull all required stock for job and work with purchasing department if stock is unavailable.• Understand expectations of customer and produce proofs to best of your ability.• QC all batches of ink to existing wet samples.• QC all batches of outside ink using supplied wedge plate proofs.• Change ink drums as required.• Create and update formulas as needed, formula cards, Mixmaster, and GFI dispenser• Complete batch weighing.• Provide feedback when appropriate that can help improve quality or production on press.• Assist press operators in trouble shooting ink issues whenever possible.• Over see schedule and production to insure no pressroom downtime.
