Edward Hedge is a Director of Engineering at North Texas Public Broadcasting. Colleagues describe them as "Eddie has the "can do attitude"! He began working for me when he was in college. His job was to assist in remodeling and construction of WHIZ TV. From painting a mini studio (numerous times due to my indecisiveness), to installing most of the wiring in the new Master Control ("Great Room"), Eddie did it all! Since a lot of it was new technology (to the industry), he also needed to read manuals, learn the gear and how it worked, then install and test. When I became Director of Engineering at WSFL and had a full working studio to build, it was Eddie who I called to assist with this major project in the 16th largest TV market in the US (Miami/Fort Lauderdale). Eddie was offered the opportunity to come work at WSFL, but he had obligations (new wife and house) in Ohio and couldn't accept. He knows that whenever he wants to come work for me again, an invitation is open."
