Edward Henley III is the founder of PILLARS, a land use advisory, planning, development, and management firm. Serving as Principal and Project Executive, Edward has managed large-scale projects in surplus of $1 Billion to projects with budgets under $1 million. Currently leading PILLARS, Edward continues to pursue his passions in land use and real estate. He maintains a proactive attitude and dedication to community planning, engagement and involvement. While enjoying any opportunity to be challenged and assist effectively, his project interests include economic and public development, mixed income and mixed-use, affordable housing, creative dwellings & office, communal spaces, and suitable retail, and the challenge of large scale new construction, rehabilitation or preservation.Edward lends his unique and valuable experience to the land use community through his membership in Urban Land Institute (ULI). He sits on ULI Nashville’s Governance Committee, is founding chair of the Mentor Program. Nationally serves on the Public Development and Infrastructure Council of ULI Americas and has been appointed as a Global Governing Trustee. He also serves proudly as a Board Member of the Civic Design Center, Walk Bike Nashville, and Nashville Tree Foundation as a commitment to preserving and improving his local community's environment and quality of life.Further, he has the honor of being appointed to the Board of Commissioners for Planning, Parks and Recreation, and Greenways and Open Space.Edward studied at the University of Tennessee (UT), and graduated in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in Finance and Enterprise Management.
